Covid relief: The devil is in the details

At this writing, Congress was still negotiating the next round of Covid relief. If and when it passes, the real test will be getting the right assistance to the right businesses and residents.

The devil is in the details.

It is reasonable to expect that past experience will be beneficial to this process. Let's hope so.

The devil is in the details.

I spoke yesterday to the Wharton Lions Club. I heard improvements are necessary from last time. The improvements regard how to disseminate the information about who qualifies, what they may receive, and how to get it. It's about getting the right information to the people who need it.

The devil is in the details.

My experience says big information is just that — big. This stuff sometimes comes out very bulky. It can be hard to digest these big chunks. That's unless you are used to digesting such.

The suggestion is to present it so the people who need so they can understand it — that's what I think I heard.

The devil is in the details.

I also heard it might be a good idea to have mentors who can help people sort through the details. That's a great idea! Hmm...

Then, there is another piece of reality, which may occur to me. The right information sometimes becomes wrong as new facts emerge, or as the people relying on such just get it wrong.

The devil is in the details.

Criticizing doesn't really help, either. Before you speak, perhaps, ask yourself this basic question: "how can I make it better?"
